Crabb’s Creations

Crabb’s Creations was my original ‘side hustle’. It all started when the COVID pandemic hit Missouri in 2020. I was busy as a full time student, but it was a huge adjustment finding a work from home job and limiting my social interactions. I have a longstanding interest in art, but when I moved out for college, it got a lot more difficult to keep up with materials and setting aside time to be creative.

When I got my iPad, the first thing I downloaded was Procreate, and the rest is history. I combined my passion for art with my love for animals, and most of my subjects are beloved pets. I’m proud to offer a range of styles to be commissioned, from full color to charcoal-style portraits.

I hope that through this page you’ll note the progress I’ve made. I started this journey doing a lot of more simplistic line work. Then I went to some less detailed color pieces, and I’ve added some Black & White portraits to my portfolio along the way. Art is a constantly growing and evolving hobby, and I hope you’ll follow along to see where I end up next!

Full Color

My goal with these portraits was to capture as much of the subject as possible. I wanted their eyes to have life and their coats to have texture.

On average, these more detailed portraits take upwards of 10 hours. There are some more simple portraits in this gallery that didn’t take quite that amount of time, but I digress.

Black and White

Growing up, my favorite medium was charcoal.

This series is one of my favorite. I hold these extra close to my heart!

Line Art

There’s something beautiful about simplicity. Most of these portraits were completed at the beginning of Crabb’s Creations.

I unfortunately don’t get many requests for these kind of portraits anymore. It’s a shame! They are so fun to work on!

Cars

If you know me, you know I enjoy cars. Better yet, most of my friends are ‘car people’ so I’ve had the chance to draw a few of their favorites.

People

I work with more animals and pets than I do people, but I’ve loved helping immortalize these memories!

These have been great gifts for valentine’s day, anniversaries, or birthdays!
